Affix a 120 grit sandpaper pad to a hand held sander. You can polish the flooring either by dry sanding or wet sanding. Before sanding or grinding any marble surface it is important to clean the area thoroughly. Sanding marble is a time consuming process.

This will require using a wet sanding process to achieve the desired results. Marble floor polishing can remove small scratches. With the bonus that wet sanding marble by hand can instantly make one feel like an ancient roman craftsman.
